Ed Doyne joined the Marine Corps and became an ordinance specialist and was stationed at Cherry Point, NC. He rose through the ranks quickly and in a short amount of time, after being meritoriously promoted to Corporal and Sergeant, he found himself applying to become an officer. Once selected he traveled to Quantico for officer training and then quickly found himself being shipped over to Vietnam. From Vietnam he went to do security and continued his career rising through the ranks. He then went to Okinawa and to MCRD San Diego. Don't miss Part 1 of a great Marine story.
