Growing up in a small country town in Oklahoma, Millard McCormack built a simple life rooted in hard work and community. After finishing school, he spent time traveling to California for work — never knowing that his path was about to change.
When the draft came during the Korean War, Millard answered the call.
Through boot camp, infantry training, and engineering instruction, he prepared for a reality few truly understand. Before long, he found himself in Korea — serving as an engineer on the front lines, witnessing the harsh realities of war firsthand.
After completing his service, Millard returned home to Oklahoma, carrying with him experiences that would shape the rest of his life. He went back to work, rebuilt his routine, and lived his life fully — but the story of what he saw and endured remained part of who he was.
