Marine veteran Tim Parkhurst joins the show to share his very unique story of service, determination, and perseverance.
Growing up in a military family with a father who served as a Navy pilot and relatives spread across every branch of service, Tim spent much of his childhood moving from place to place and state to state. During his 10th-grade year, he made the decision to attend a Marine Academy high school, setting him on the path toward a future in the Marine Corps.
After enlisting in the Marine Corps, Tim set his sights on becoming a Scout Sniper. While the road to achieving that goal came with several obstacles, he refused to give up and eventually accomplished his dream. Throughout his career, Tim would go on to serve successfully in multiple military occupations, adapting and overcoming challenges along the way to continue building an outstanding career in the Marine Corps.

We'll discuss why this initiative matters, what a Historical Archivist does, and how ordinary people can help ensure that the stories and lessons of our nation's Veterans are never lost. Tonight Chris Cambpell, the very first Lost Art Project Historical Archivist, starts his journey to documenting veterans stories.
